Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is an annual event that highlights the value of free and open access to information. The event is supported by a coalition of organizations dedicated to free expression. Learn more on the American Library Association website. 

During this week, as libraries across the country celebrate the freedom to read, we encourage you to check out one of the 2023 List of Most Challenged books or perhaps join our Breckenridge Banned Book club and have a monthly discussions with fellow community members about what makes these books controversial.
