South Branch Library to Undergo Carpet Replacement Project starting Dec. 16 ; Limited Services Available

Starting December 16, the South Branch will be operating with limited services for approximately one month we undergo a comprehensive carpet replacement project. Call 970-453-3544 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for more information.

Services Available:

  • Holds pickup available Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm during most of the project period; Patrons can continue to place holds at through the online catalog at summit.marmot.org/
  • Online digital resources remain fully accessible so you can enjoy digital books, audiobooks, streaming services, and databases from the comfort of home
  • Limited special programming and events available December 16-24. Check the library’s events calendar for the most up-to-date information: summitco.librarycalendar.com/events/week
  • Outdoor book drop
  • Telephone/Email assistance from South Branch staff

Get in the holiday spirit with Summit County Library's annual Gingerbread House Contest! Whether you're a seasoned architect or a first-time builder, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Create your construction at home and then bring it to any of our 3 libraries library by December 13th for public voting.

Rules:

  • All materials must be edible
  • Maximum base size of 18” x 18”
  • Participate in one of two age groups: "13 and Younger" or "14 and Older"
  • Drop off your gingerbread house creations at any library location from December 1 - 13

Voting will be held in-person at each library from December 15-20. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 22. 

And don't forget to pick up your holiday masterpieces before January 6th!
