October Banned Book Reading Challenge

South Branch Library to Undergo Carpet Replacement Project starting Dec. 16 ; Limited Services Available

Starting December 16, the South Branch will be operating with limited services for approximately one month we undergo a comprehensive carpet replacement project. Call 970-453-3544 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for more information.

Services Available:

  • Holds pickup available Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm during most of the project period; Patrons can continue to place holds at through the online catalog at summit.marmot.org/
  • Online digital resources remain fully accessible so you can enjoy digital books, audiobooks, streaming services, and databases from the comfort of home
  • Limited special programming and events available December 16-24. Check the library’s events calendar for the most up-to-date information: summitco.librarycalendar.com/events/week
  • Outdoor book drop
  • Telephone/Email assistance from South Branch staff

Reading is empowering! Learn about new perspectives and celebrate the freedom to read with books that have been challenged or banned throughout the years. 

Teens (6th-12th grade) and adults (18+) are encouraged to register for our October Banned Book Reading Challenge using the Beanstack App or website!

Challenge starts October 1st.

Log 1 book (use our curated list for suggestions) and answer a couple questions to earn a prize by October 31st!
