Adult Sewing Workshop

South Branch Library to Undergo Carpet Replacement Project starting Dec. 16 ; Limited Services Available

Starting December 16, the South Branch will be operating with limited services for approximately one month we undergo a comprehensive carpet replacement project. Call 970-453-3544 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for more information.

Services Available:

  • Holds pickup available Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm during most of the project period; Patrons can continue to place holds at through the online catalog at summit.marmot.org/
  • Online digital resources remain fully accessible so you can enjoy digital books, audiobooks, streaming services, and databases from the comfort of home
  • Limited special programming and events available December 16-24. Check the library’s events calendar for the most up-to-date information: summitco.librarycalendar.com/events/week
  • Outdoor book drop
  • Telephone/Email assistance from South Branch staff

Program Description

Event Details

For adults who want to learn to sew, or brush up on the experience they had in the 4th grade. This workshop is a series of 4 classes, focused on the sewing machine and all its parts, sewing a straight line, mitered corners, and more! All supplies are provided, but participants can bring their own sewing machine if they would like. Please register for the whole series! 

Participants will make an item to keep, and will have the opportunity to learn some mending and altering.
