South Branch Library to Undergo Carpet Replacement Project starting Dec. 16 ; Limited Services Available

Starting December 16, the South Branch will be operating with limited services for approximately one month we undergo a comprehensive carpet replacement project. Call 970-453-3544 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for more information.

Services Available:

  • Holds pickup available Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm during most of the project period; Patrons can continue to place holds at through the online catalog at summit.marmot.org/
  • Online digital resources remain fully accessible so you can enjoy digital books, audiobooks, streaming services, and databases from the comfort of home
  • Limited special programming and events available December 16-24. Check the library’s events calendar for the most up-to-date information: summitco.librarycalendar.com/events/week
  • Outdoor book drop
  • Telephone/Email assistance from South Branch staff

Program Description

Event Details

Learn basic animation and coding skills this summer using Scratch programming with instructor Kathy Childs! In this 4 week session, you will learn to create custom animations for holiday cards, animated stories, and games!

Please bring your school-registered computer along to the class. If this is not possible for you, we can help accommodate.

This course is a repeat of last year's introductory course. A second, level 2 coding course will be held the first 4 weeks of August for any kids who have already completed the introductory course.
