As the weather turns colder, it’s the perfect time to cozy up with a new skill!  Join us at the North Branch Library for a 3-week Learn to Knit series! In this beginner-friendly program, we’ll start in Week 1 by learning how to cast on and practice the purl stitch, building a strong foundation for your knitting journey. In Week 2, we will review the purl stitch and then learn the second basic stitch: the knit stitch.  Our last week will be a review of everything you have learned plus learning how to bind off your project. At the end of the series, you will leave with a packet of knitting patterns that you will be able to read and make on your own!

Bring along any yarn or needles you already have; all other supplies will be provided. Space is limited, so be sure to register early. By the end of the series, you’ll be well on your way to knitting handmade pieces to keep you and your loved ones warm all season long.

Week 1 10/23: Casting on and the purl stitch

Week 2 10/30: Purl stitch review and the knit stitch

Week 3 11/6: Review and binding off

You will have the best results if you can commit to all three classes.  If you are a no-show to the first class, your spot will be given to the first person on the waitlist.
