Join the North Branch Library Silent Book Club, it's as simple as bringing or checking out a book, enjoying the company of reading with other book lovers, sipping a beverage, and leaving with recommendations. Conversation not required. This book club is all about reading in solidarity and having the designated time to read.

Silent Book Club is about community. Adults and Teens are welcome, and anyone can join.
There are over 500 Silent Book Club chapters in the world.

Experienced meditators sit for unguided silent sessions of increasing lengths, with optional sharing of experience after each session.  “In Silence” cards provided for those choosing to remain silent for the evening.  Please enter through the Understory door, down the stairs on the southeast corner of the building, as library doors will lock at 6pm.

The suggested age range for baby storytime is infant through 2.5 years of age. We will have fun books along with songs, rhymes, finger-plays, scarves and instruments. Baby story times are designed to help support pre-literacy skills and to develop a love of reading! No registration is required.

The Library Board meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month on Zoom.The BOT makes recommendations on policy and budget to the local governmental entity and acts as liaison between the library, local government, and the community. 

 Meetings are open to the public.  Please email Board President Erin if you would like to join or share comments or concerns.
